Brazilian Immersion Conference - Call for papers (deadline April 21)

We welcome proposals that address the theme of, Effective (Bi) Literacy Instruction for our Immersion Students. Workshops will be one hour in length and may be presented in either Portuguese or English.
Workshops must address at least one of the following topics:
Strands: Enhancing Language Acquisition through Reading and Writing l Early Literacy Development l Integrating L1 & L2 Curricula l How the Brain Learns to Read l Assessing & Setting Literacy Goals l Our Striving Readers l Reading Beyond Phonics l Academic Vocabulary Development l Cross-linguistic Connections for Biliteracy l Critical Literacyl Reading & Writing Across the Curriculum l Role of Oracy in Literacy l
Each proposal will be read by two members of the academic committee and a decision will be sent in early May.
