Immersion Festival

  • April 09, 2016
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Minnetonka High School Arts Center

MAIN Parents, The Parent Group of M.A.I.N. (Minnesota Advocates for Immersion Network),

invites your school to the second annual

Immersion Festival on Saturday, April 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon p.m.

at Minnetonka High School Arts Center, located at 18301 Highway 7, Minnetonka, MN 55345.

The purpose of the event is to celebrate our children’s efforts to learn world languages, expose them to other languages and cultures and foster a sense of belonging to the larger community of Minnesota language immersion learners.

There are several ways for your school and families to enjoy the Festival:

  • As a participant--designate a group or classroom as ambassadors to perform a song, skit, poem or other short performance (2-3 minutes).
  • Host a booth representing your school via display boards.
  • Invite ALL school families to visit the festival to learn more about camps, cultural events and language related activities in the Twin Cities area.

Please share this information with your families.

If you would like to reserve a spot, please reply to mnimmersion@gmail.com by February 1st! (We have limited spots for performance.) The fee to perform is $25 per school. Entrance is free on event day!  Please encourage your school families to attend!

For details, you can contact Colleen Simmons, M.A.I.N. Parents Chair at (612) 281-4558 or5simmons@usfamily.net

Thank you for being part of the language immersion community in Minnesota!

Sincerely,

Colleen Simmons
