Elementary Associate Principal

    The Eden Prairie School District is seeking applicants for five Elementary Associate Principal Elementary Positions. This key leadership role will serve under the building principal to provide educational leadership for the school; including staff and student supervision, assessment coordination, and curriculum development and evidence based instructional practices focused on the success of each student. This position is responsible for assisting with creating a culturally competent and racially inclusive learning environment for all students. The ideal leader must have experience regarding curriculum development and evaluation, be a skilled communicator, possess above average interpersonal skills to work with a diverse population among our students, parents and community. Eden Prairie is a school district with approximately 1,400 employees serving 9,100 students. The district is recognized for its quality initiatives and its leadership in educational programming.

    Position requirements:


        
    Minnesota Elementary Principal License or ability to obtain.

         Three years minimum experience as a classroom teacher.

         Three years of successful experience in public school administration and/or supervision

     

    Qualifications:

         Experienced leader to guide and manage staff in an inclusive environment that fosters trust, respect, and consensus building.

         Experienced in the areas of curriculum development and culturally responsive instructional practices

         Experienced in personnel development and evaluation.

         Knowledge and experience regarding current issues in school management.

         Skilled communicator and systems thinker who possesses excellent interpersonal skills.

         Demonstrative ability to work within the framework of an administrative team.

         Commitment to high academic standards for all students.

         Effective use of technology to support personalization of learning

         Ability to support systems that improve the effective use of school-wide data to impact instructional practices.

         Demonstrated ability to lead professional learning communities (PLCs) annual areas of emphasis, strategies, and resources for all staff.

         Demonstrated ability to lead professional development activities including instructional strategies that impact student achievement and related areas:  learning targets, power standards, engagement and common formative assessments.

                Starting Salary:                       Regionally competitive salary based on education &                                                          experience
