Immersion teachers Forum
My name is James Nelson and I’m the Director of Finance & Administration at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN. We are going to be hosting weekly Spanish immersion summer camps this summer and I’m looking for educators who want to be involved as well as spread the word to schools whose students may be interested. This camp would be an exciting way for educators to be involved in the continued development of their students in activity and sports filled setting. Plesae see flyer below that gives more details and specifics on an open house we are having. We are looking to do the open house on Wednesday, February 6th (morning and afternoon sessions) to give educators more information, outline the camp, and the roles available (this is a paid opportunity). I should also let you know that we are a 501(c)(3) and our goal is really to keep this kids happy, healthy and to maintain their language development and overall education.
The goals of the program are:
1. High quality programming
2. Accessible and affordable
All are welcome but if they RSVP ahead of time we can enter them into a drawing for some great prizes. If they are unable to attend but interested in the opportunity we encourage them to RSVP so that we can follow up with them in the near future. We’ll also have some snacks and refreshments. You can find the RSVP link in the flyer or I’ve also put it below.
In terms of the kids, we are trying to make it affordable for all so we are going to try and provide financial assistance for as many kids as we can. We are also currently talking to local businesses that could potentially help us set up bussing to and from the local metro schools so that this program could be inclusive of the entire area.
